The third book in the series, Nom de Dieu, is primarily the catalogue of an exhibition of the same name held at PILAR on the VUB campus (curator: Willem Elias).
In addition, this volume includes several contributions that delve deeper into the phenomenon of “blasphemy.” The term originates from the Greek blasphemia, a combination of blaptein (to harm) and phÄ“mÄ“ (reputation). What is understood by blasphemy, criticism, and satire can vary greatly depending on historical, cultural, ideological, and philosophical contexts.
